Tanzanite, with its blue-violet colour, is a popular gemstone for December birthdays and Christmas gifts. On the German site of Shop LC, it is also one of the stones with the widest price range: the same search shows stainless steel necklaces under EUR 40 next to rings costing several thousand euros.

This guide does not review the whole shop. Instead, it walks through tanzanite pieces at different price levels and explains how to read the German product titles, so you know what you are paying for. All prices and details were taken from shoplc.de on 4 November 2026. Prices on the site change often, so check before buying.

Under EUR 50: Fashion Pieces With Real Tanzanite

EVER TRUE tanzanite and white zircon heart pendant necklace in gold tone

The entry tier is the EVER TRUE line. The EVER TRUE tanzanite and white zircon necklace (45 cm) is made of 316L stainless steel and was listed at EUR 37.99, down from EUR 59.99. Stainless steel is hard-wearing and a sensible choice for everyday jewellery or a first gemstone gift.

EVER TRUE tanzanite teardrop pendant with chain

The EVER TRUE tanzanite pendant with a 50 cm chain lists about 2.05 carats of stones and was on offer at EUR 49.99 instead of EUR 79.99. A similar pendant with white zircon and about 0.48 carats was listed at EUR 37.99. These pieces use several small stones, which gives a colourful look at a low price.

EUR 90 to 130: Silver, Vermeil and Bronze Rings

Tanzanite solitaire ring in 925 silver with yellow gold vermeil

Step up a level and you find simple rings in precious metal. One tanzanite solitaire ring in 925 silver with 750 yellow gold vermeil (about 0.35 carats) cost EUR 89.99. Vermeil means sterling silver with a gold layer, which gives a gold look at a lower cost than solid gold.

EVER TRUE tanzanite and white zircon flower ring in bronze

The EVER TRUE tanzanite and white zircon ring in pure bronze carries a bigger stone weight, about 1.79 carats, for EUR 119.99. Bronze gives a warm tone; it is worth remembering that bronze can darken over time and benefits from occasional cleaning.

EUR 150 and Up: The D’Joy Line

D’Joy is Shop LC’s line for pieces in rhodium-plated or vermeil 925 silver. Tanzanite earrings with about 1.02 carats cost EUR 219.99, while D’Joy rings start around EUR 119.99 for about 1.04 carats and climb quickly as carat weight and grade increase.

D'Joy AAA tanzanite and moissanite ring in rhodium-plated 925 silver

A D’Joy AAA tanzanite and moissanite ring with about 1.62 carats was listed at EUR 549.99. At the top, some D’Joy tanzanite rings with sapphire or moissanite accents cost more than EUR 4,000. Shop LC also sells loose stones, such as an AAAA tanzanite cushion of 1.00 carat listed at EUR 749.99 instead of EUR 1,399.99.

How to Read a Shop LC Listing

The German product titles pack a lot of information into one line. Here is what the key parts mean:

    • Tansanit, Weisser Zirkon, Moissanit: the stones used; the first is usually the main stone.
    • AA, AAA, AAAA: grade labels used in some titles; more letters generally signal a higher grade in the shop’s own system.
    • ca. 1,62 ct: the approximate total carat weight of all stones, not just the centre stone.
    • 925 Silber Rhodiniert: sterling silver with a rhodium plating for a bright white finish.
    • 750 Gelbgold vermeil: sterling silver coated with 18 carat yellow gold.
    • Reine Bronze or 316L Edelstahl: bronze or surgical-grade stainless steel, both lower-cost metals.
    • Groesse 17.00: the ring size; check the size guide before you order.

    Caring for Tanzanite Jewellery

Tanzanite is softer than sapphire, rated around 6 to 7 on the Mohs hardness scale, so it needs a little more care than harder stones. Gem care guides commonly recommend cleaning it with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush rather than an ultrasonic or steam cleaner. Store tanzanite pieces separately so harder stones and metal clasps do not scratch them, and take rings off before sport, gardening or cleaning at home.

Tanzanite is also listed as one of the birthstones for December, which makes these pieces a natural choice for a December birthday as well as for Christmas. If you are buying a gift, a pendant or earrings avoids the problem of guessing a ring size, and the lower-priced EVER TRUE pieces work well as stocking fillers or Secret Santa gifts.

    Buying Tips

    • Compare price per carat only between pieces of the same grade and metal.
    • Remember total carat weight includes small accent stones.
    • Check whether the price shown is a temporary offer with a crossed-out original price.
    • For rings, confirm the size, as many listings are size-specific.
    • Some items show longer delivery times, such as 7 to 12 working days, in the title.

    Final Thoughts

Tanzanite at Shop LC Germany covers almost every budget. Under EUR 50, EVER TRUE pieces offer a colourful look in steel; around EUR 100 you get silver, vermeil or bronze rings; and the D’Joy line goes from a few hundred euros to high-end pieces. Reading the listing titles carefully is the best way to compare like with like. Explore the full selection at shoplc.de and check the latest Shop LC offers before you choose.
